This page is devoted to the Danes in my life who have crossed the rainbow bridge. I thank the many wonderful homes my dogs have had.

Unfortunately, my past memorial page was lost when AOL discontinued their "hometown" websites.

TRIBUTE TO A DANE

No words can truly thank the dane

No money match its worth

As quite content it lives to love

Its master here on earth.

A dane will never ask for much

Just food love warmth & play

And in return, no question that It gives its life away.

A dane is service on command,

No matter when or where,

If you ever needs its help,

Just call and he'll be there.

Ready in his special way,

To help with strength and might.

Those sympatric eyes confirm

That right or wrong, your right.

In this life, we know not much

from beginning unto end .

Yet those who chose to own a dane,

Know they have a friend.

Anyone who loves the breed.

know this to be so true,

For NO other dog can fill your heart.

As only a Great dane will do.

Bonnie was an active competitor in the agility ring and achieved great success in that venue. She was ranked one of the top agility Danes in her catagory.

Owned, loved and missed by Jeanne and Tom, I would like to thank them for the excellent home they provided her--and for using her potential as a performance Dane.

I don't think any dog has been loved as much as Yukon was. His tragic death, due to complications from a bowel perforation, devastated them. He was truly a wonderful breed ambassador and went everywhere with the Lunde family. He will be sadly missed.

Our dear, sweet Erin lived to be over 11 years of age. She enjoyed good health throughout her life, and had an outstanding temperament. She never met a peson she didn't love, was a great housedog and is very much missed. Erin received the GDCA Top Brood Bitch for 2004 and has numerous Champion children and grand-childern. She was one of those "once in a lifetime" dogs. Rest softly, my sweet girl.

April came into the Finelly household as an older puppy. She quickly made herself at home and became a much-loved family member. April was a great ambassador for the breed and was a frequent visitor at the Marymoore Dog Park. Her joyful attitude and loving temperament will be greatly missed at the Finnelly household.

Kiss was sadly a victim of a frequent killer of Danes-bone cancer. She was Lileen's constant companion. With limited showing, Kiss obtained Top Twenty status and when bred, produced Champion offspring.
